The Head to Tail BBQ is the finale to a summer series of Farm Tours that focused on different aspects of local food production. The tours were influenced by the Downtown Farmers Market’s commitment to farm to fork education and buying local.

The 2011 Downtown Farmers Market is open Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., June 11-Oct. 22 and Tuesday evenings Aug.-Oct. The market—with over 250 vendors—offers a unique variety of farmers, growers, bakeries, prepared food and beverages, packaged foods and local artisans.
