The finalists for the Pillsbury Bake-off have been chosen, and are now listed online at http://www.pillsbury.com/BakeOff/Finalists.
Two Utahans are among the 100 finalists who will travel to Florida in March to compete for the $1 million grand prize: Cameron Bailey of Salt Lake City with a recipe for Bacon-Chicken Sliders with Raspberry-Onion Spread; and Elizabeth DeHart of West Jordan, with a recipe for Falafel Sandwiches with Fire-Roasted Tomato Aioli.
Aprons created by "Project Runway" reality-show stars and designers Althea Harper, Kara Janx and Carol Hannah Whitfield ( left to right,) were part of the Bake-Off “Runway Challenge,” Monday, Oct. 10, in New York. Each designer unveiled an apron to potentially be worn by the 100 finalists as they compete for the $1 million grand prize at the 45th Pillsbury Bake-Off® Contest in March in Orlando, Fla. You can vote vote for your favorite apron design on Pillsbury’s Facebook page before October 17th at Facebook.com/Pillsbury.
For being a small state population-wise, Utah has a pretty good track record for its number of Pillsbury Bake-Off finalists. Since I've been covering the event (1998) Utah has had at least one — and sometimes as many as three — finalists chosen. But so far, nobody from Utah has won the grand prize. Could 2012 be the lucky year?

Go Cameron!
I always love cheering for the home team! Both of the Utah recipes sound really great! I'd love to have a Utah winner.
Cameron can do it!! He has been submitting recipes for the last 10 years.
I am SO thrilled to be a finalist :-)
