The Cancer Project is a national nonprofit that promotes a low-fat vegetarian diet. Fruits, vegetables, and whole grains are naturally low in fat, full of fiber, and filled with cancer-fighting antioxidants and phytochemicals. Fatty foods and added fats and oils, particularly saturated fats, have been linked to an increased risk of breast, colon, and prostate cancer.
The Cancer Project is a program of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.
